Motorola Solutions will demonstrate its suite of advanced push-to-talk (PTT) services at the Comms Connect event in Melbourne, which kicks off today.

A spokesperson for the firm said its PTT capacitities generated some 20 million minutes of use globally each month, across primary wireless carrier networks.

“Demos this week will highlight technology based on the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) release 13 standard mission-critical PTT, complementing and extending Motorola’s existing highly secure mission-critical LMR services,” said the company, noting that commercial trials of the technology will be available from early next year.
