OptiComm picks Juniper in push to double Australian core network infrastructure

Australian fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) and wholesale service provider OptiComm has chosen Juniper Networks as part of a drive to double the size of its Australian network infrastructure.

OptiComm said the exclusive partnership – comprised of Juniper’s software-defined networking (SDN) enabled MX480 5G Universal Routing platforms — will enable it to deliver a high-performing network at scale to its own customers.

OptiComm will also utilise Juniper Networks’ MX240 5G Universal Routing Platform, ACX Series Universal Access Router, QFX Series Data Centre Switches, SRX Series Next-Generation Firewalls and EX Series Ethernet Switches for added security and ease-of-management.
