Brisbane-based cloud directory service Cloudscene – yet another emanation started up by serial entrepreneur Bevan Slattery – has appointed Belle Lajoie as inaugural CEO, with the specific brief to lead the next phase of growth for the company.

The firm said the role of CEO has been brought on to drive the expansion of the product suite, accelerate user growth and engagement, and implement a series of commercial opportunities to better support the needs of the industry.

It added that Lajoie had played a key part in the growth and commercial success of Australian technology startups including NEXTDC and more recently at Megaport.

“Cloudscene has experienced tremendous growth since its official launch in 2016, and I am honored and excited to have someone with Belle’s deep industry knowledge and expertise leading the team to focus on taking Cloudscene to the next level,” said Slattery.

“The team has a vision to build a neutral and trusted exchange platform for cloud and connectivity services. I’m thrilled to now lead the journey towards realizing that vision,” said Lajoie.

Lajoie will commence as Cloudscene’s CEO on 1st May while Renée Harper who is currently the firm’s interim GM will also start a new role as VP of Marketing and Engagement.
