Equinix has appointed Eugene Bergen Henegouwen as President, EMEA.
According to the company, he will manage the Country Managing Directors, the regional Corporate Development team and regional Business Development teams to ensure the company continues to drive high returns on its investments and accelerates interconnection growth.
Bergen, who joined Equinix in 2013 as Senior Vice President of Sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa, succeeds Eric Schwartz who served in the EMEA role since 2008 and was appointed to Chief Strategy and Development Officer, overseeing Corporate Strategy, Corporate Development, Business Development, Real Estate, Capital Planning and the company’s hyperscale initiatives.
