Thomas Duryea Logicalis acquires Melbourne IT firm CNI

Thomas Duryea Logicalis has snapped up Corporate Network Integration (CNI), a Melbourne-based IT services provider and Microsoft Certified Gold Partner.

“The acquisition of one of Australia’s leading Microsoft Azure partners will enable TDL to super-charge its capacity to provide customers with hybrid IT services and solutions in Azure public cloud,” said TDL.

CNI has been a focussed Microsoft Azure partner since 2012 and is known for its technical expertise, flexibility in delivery and strong customer partnerships.

The combined CNI and TDL customer base will also now benefit from access to increased capabilities, including security, managed services, project management governance and a wider range of supporting services.

“This acquisition repositions TDL as a tier one Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider and a leading provider of Azure solutions in Australia,” said TDL CEO Michael Chanter. “Moreover, it expands our Microsoft and cloud portfolios capabilities in transformation services to allow our customers to focus on innovation and better end-user experiences,” says Chanter.

In recent years, CNI has built a profitable and scalable business through the development of intellectual property that has enabled them to offer customers enterprise-ready Azure solutions and manage those environments in a fully automated fashion.

“CNI’s expertise in Azure will now grow within the overall TDL engine, support the acceleration in our services growth and reinforce our relationship with Microsoft by giving us the capability to provide new capabilities to transition customers to new digital platforms.

The entire CNI team will transition across to TDL with CNI CEO, Toby Alcock joining the TDL executive as Chief Technology Officer, Public Cloud. In addition, CNI’s Steven Buhagiar will join the organisation as National Practice Lead, Cloud Services.

Toby Alcock, CNI Managing Director, said, “CNI are thrilled to be a part of TDL and the broader Logicalis group. Both TDL and CNI were established around the same time two decades ago and it has been great to see TDL grow its customer base over this time.

CNI has established and proven capability to securely design Azure cloud services for migration and ongoing management, governance and optimisation of these services. Integrating the CNI offerings into the TDL portfolio delivers a compelling opportunity for us to help customers reap true business outcomes by transitioning to the cloud world. We look forward to providing our customers with access to a wider range of services across the combined TDL and CNI operation and adding value not just to IT operations but right across the business.”

“Internally, the CNI team will now have the additional opportunity to collaborate with TDL’s extensive team on Azure integration and cloud service migration projects. A great example of this is leveraging the TDL Security and Office 365 practice capabilities, which we can now amplify and offer to customers to achieve faster overall outcomes.”

“CNI has recognised leadership, and an incredibly proficient technical team that will add a material difference to our bottom line,” said Chanter.
