SAP has appointed Damien Bueno as President and Managing Director for the firm’s Australia and New Zealand division, replacing Colin Brookes who is stepping down to pursue another opportunity with SAP globally.

Bueno joined SAP in 2007 and has worked with some of Australia and New Zealand’s largest organisations, across multiple industries, and in regional leadership roles prior.

Most recently, Bueno served as SAP ANZ VP for Strategic Industries and Markets,  where he pioneered a co-investment model with the Australian Government, to better support it with its digital engagement with citizens.

“Australia and New Zealand is a key market unit for the APJ region, having become a $1 billion business and delivering 22 per cent year over year cloud business growth,” said SAP Asia Pacific Japan President Scott Russell. “As an experienced member of the ANZ senior executive team, Damien Bueno is a proven leader who embodies what it means to be customer-centric and employee-focused. With his appointment, Bueno joins the Asia Pacific Japan Senior Executive Team and reports directly to Scott Russell
