SAP has announced the launch of 12 campus-located SAP Next-Gen Chapters to kickstart innovation between SAP customers and universities across the Asia Pacific Japan region.
The lighthouse universities will share innovation with purpose best practices with the SAP Next-Gen network of over 560 universities in APJ which connects SAP customers to academia, startups, accelerators, purpose driven partners and institutions, and SAP experts to envision the future of industries and the intelligent enterprise and to build digital innovation skills.
The announcement was made at the SAP Academic Conference APJ 2018 at the University Competence Center location for the APJ region (UCC APJ) at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane, Australia.
“The SAP Next-Gen Chapters in APJ foster digital innovation by connecting academia, startups, partners and customers,” said Bruce McKinnon, Head of Services, APJ & Executive Sponsor of Innovation for SAP ANZ.
“The chapters also help deliver on our purpose, as they often focus their innovations on challenges associated with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.”
SAP Next-Gen Chapters are part of the SAP University Alliances program and its affiliated University Competence Center and Academic Competence Center locations.
Chapters in APJ include University of Melbourne, Australia; University of New South Wales, Australia; Victoria University, Australia; Chitkara University, India; Institute of Management Technology Ghaziabad, India; International Management Institute, India; National Institute of Industrial Engineering, India; Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology, India; University Islam Indonesia; Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore; Singapore Management University; and National Central University, Taiwan.
