Avaya is stepping up its play for the SMB market, announcing the availability of  IP Office 11 – a new edition featuring enterprise-level UC capabilities.

Avaya said IP Office helps businesses drive greater productivity and streamline collaboration, offering a single application for all communications channels, meetings, team collaboration and content sharing.

Avaya ANZ channel director Steve Williams said IP Office 11 provided a more intelligent flow of communications by aggregating various communications channels, meetings, team collaboration and content sharing.

“It centralises the UC experience [and ] importantly, IP Office 11 introduces support for the Avaya Equinox platform, providing Australia’s SMBs – which, if you look at ABS data, make up the vast majority of the economy – with enterprise-grade capabilities instead of a watered-down solution.”

‘This gives SMBs comprehensive UC through flexible deployment options (on-premises, in the cloud, or hybrid) so they can take advantage of advanced technologies – including AI and IoT – that have become prominent and transformed the potential of business communications,” he added.

Avaya APAC, MEA and South Europe director for cloud and mid market Khalid Khan said research showed that when organizations successfully engage customers and  employees, they see a 240% boost in performance-related business outcomes compared to organizations with neither engaged employees nor engaged customers.

“We are expanding the capabilities of IP Office and enabling small and midsize business teams to stay competitive by working smarter, not harder,” Khan added.
