Carbon Black wields open APIs to bolster cyber security arsenal

US endpoint security specialist Carbon Black has launched a new integration network,  aimed at delivering stronger cyber security via open APIs.

Dubbed Carbon Black Integration Network (CbIN), the offering is a technology partner program designed to boost cyber security through collective defence.  Powered by its big data and analytics cloud platform – the Cb Predictive Security Cloud – Carbon Black’s services allows customers to defend against a raft of cyber threats, including malware and ransomware, as well as non-malware attacks.

Additionally, the firm announced that Juniper Networks, LogRhythm and Phantom were all now part of CbIN, having used Carbon Black’s open APIs to build productised integration with the Passive Star Coupler.

“The Carbon Black Integration Network was built on the premise that a collective defence strategy is the foundation of any good security posture,” said Jim Raine, Carbon Black’s director of Technology Alliances. “By integrating solutions across each security stack, every new addition brings new functionality to a customer’s entire security architecture.’

“Security teams gain immediate insight and quickly derive more value from existing security investments,” said Raine. “We’ll continue to empower our entire ecosystem by adding integrations so companies can easily adopt and use solutions that fit their specific needs.”
